TEACHER PUBLICATIONS
In the strategic management plan of the Federal University of Viçosa, research and postgraduate policies were defined, in line with its MISSION, that is, institutional support for scientific research of quality, enhancement of Stricto Sensu postgraduate programs as trainers of highly qualified human resources and, scientific initiation programs as trainers of future researchers, academic-administrative modernization and rationalization and training of UFV professors at the doctoral and post-graduate level doctorate degree.
As institutional GOALS, we can highlight the increase in quality, efficiency and competitiveness, in addition to the expansion of UFV’s sphere of influence as a trainer of human resources.
Following these GOALS, the Postgraduate Program in Forest Science has been concerned with evolving each year, not only in quantity, but also in quality, publishing in journals with a high impact factor, with CAPES / QUALIS ratings A1, A2 and B1 .
In the four-year period from 2017 to 2020, 34 of the 37 permanent professors had publications, which represents 91.89% of the professors. A total of 1073 publications were published in the quadrennium, with 430 in national journals , 555 in international journals , 18 books and 70 book chapters .
According to the Scopus platform, we also obtained a total of 12,045 citations in this period, which represents the quality of the publications, serving as a reference for other research.
