PLANT CLONING: TECHNIQUE TO RECOVER THE VEGETATION OF BRUMADINHO

Project plans to clone plants to help preserve plant species.

Technique is already used to accelerate vegetation recovery in Brumadinho (MG) A project by Brazilian researchers, from the Federal University of Viçosa, intends to clone plants to help preserve endangered plant species.

The technique is already used to accelerate the recovery of vegetation that was devastated with the collapse of a dam in Brumadinho (MG). Over the next three years, five thousand seedlings must be planted. They will occupy areas where the mud has passed on the banks and in the Paraopeba River basin.
